Positive Reviews
positive:
Beautiful location
Right on Gumbet Beach, guests love having Bodrum at arms-reach. You are isolated from the hustle and bustle, but can get there without any problem. There is even a bus-stop right outside the hotel. If you happen to get bored of the hotel's facilities, there is a selection of bars, restaurants and shops just a small walk away.
positive:
Great facilities
With all the range of facilities and entertainment on offer, like many guests, you may not wish to leave the complex. You can relax in a Turkish bath, have a massage or take a dip in the two swimming pools.
positive:
Superior rooms are worth the supplement
Guests who have decided to upgrade to the superior Relax Rooms do not seem to regret their decision. They claim that they are quieter, more comfortable and have better views. The main advantage, however, seems to be that you avoid the noise that the smaller standard rooms at the front of the hotel experience.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Not worthy of five stars
Many guests are in agreement that this is not a luxury hotel and a five-star rating is far too much. Even four would be pushing it. Three stars seems to be the right level for The Royal Asarlik, even if some would give it even less!
negative:
Hotel has seen better days
The hotel is starting to show its age, according to some guests. It is dated with a tired feel and is well in need of modernisation.
negative:
Food not so glorious
Whilst guests like the selection on offer and the different choices of restaurants and cuisines, many think the food is nothing to write home about. It is just a bit repetitive after a while. Others just dismiss it all as being just plain bad.
