The local staff has received nothing but praise from guests, as the employees' genuine friendliness and concern as well as their attention to detail makes for a wonderful vacation.

From what guests have seen so far, the hotel has great potential to be a luxurious resort offering ultimate relaxation. Guests pointed out that the finished parts of the hotel such as the rooms, the piano room and several of the restaurants are immaculate and well-designed.

Guests can walk to attractions like the clock tower and the city center to some local markets within a few minutes. The local nightclubs and their lively entertainment are less than a ten minute walk away, and guests pointed out that they felt quite safe getting there.

As of August 2015, guests reported the property to still be partially unfinished, which meant that they could not use some of the facilities such as the gym, children's pool, wave pool and a few of the restaurants. However, it is important to point out that several guests mentioned having compensation to make up for the inconvenience.

Some guests reported that management actively approached guests in a somewhat pushy manner with the intent to sell timeshares, which made some of them avoid the lobby as much as possible.

The hotel is located opposite the port, and guests reported blocked views of the otherwise beautiful ocean due to some impressive cruise ships being in port.
