    The hotel’s historic design is appealing to many guests. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. The decor is modern and blends in well with the luxurious and historic ambiance of the hotel. The rooms have large windows giving guests a wonderful view of the city of Istanbul. The recent renovations add to the palatial feel of the hotel.

    Great variety at breakfast, good food presentation.

    The hotel provides guests with a delicious breakfast buffet at a surcharge. The wait staff are very courteous when dealing with the diners and guests do not feel rushed while eating. The food is well prepared and the numerous eateries onsite ensure guests have a wide selection of dishes to choose from.

    The breakfast menu served was too expensive.

    A number of guests were understandably concerned by the high priced dishes offered on the breakfast spread. They felt they were being overcharged for items that they could find cheaper elsewhere in the city.

    The guestrooms were too small, as were the beds.

    A few guests were of the opinion that some of the guestrooms were not as spacious as they had expected. This coupled with the somewhat compact beds gave a few of the room a congested feel.

    A number of guests have complained about the lack of proper soundproofing in the guestrooms. Noise from the street easily gets into the room especially late at night and during the city’s morning rush hour traffic.
