Hotel Travelodge by Wyndham Fort Myers Airport (Fort Myers, USA)

Checks all the boxes for a place to spend the night. Rooms are a decent size with functioning amenities.

Close to airport with convenient shuttle service provided (check the price on the shuttle service, however. It's not included with the room rate - and some folks were surprised by how expensive it was), and close to restaurants, shopping and gas stations.

This is probably the cheapest you'll find in the area, especially with a complimentary (very simple) breakfast. Check around.

Some of the staff here are downright nasty, with particular negative attention going out to the night staff. Don't be surprised if you walk in and get ignored for several minutes, even though they are quite aware you've walked in and have even asked, without looking up from their card game, if you have a reservation. If you have problems with anything, they'll act annoyed like it's your fault.

There's no elevator for this two-story building, so you'll be carrying luggage upstairs yourself if you get a room on the second floor. You'll also lug your own bags on and off the airport shuttle by yourself as well. The computer in the lobby barely functions. Breakfast is lacking and extremely basic. The building itself is difficult to find even with On Star - it's well-hidden behind another motel and poorly marked. Also - Good luck with your key cards! You'll almost certainly have trouble and need assistance from staff at some point - and they'll likely act like it's your fault (it's not.).

You'll likely note dirty rooms, dogs barking and loud voices until the wee hours, bed bugs and roaches galore and cigarette/chemical/musty smells throughout.
