Positive Reviews
positive:
Good value for money and spotlessly clean.
Torquay has many guest houses, but you will be hard pressed to find one that is as good value for money and as tidy as The Cleveland. The fact that the rooms are very affordable is a bonus when you see how well furnished and maintained this guest house is
positive:
Friendly hosts do a great job at welcoming you.
You will feel at home from the moment you arrive at this guest house. The owners are incredibly accommodating and do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
positive:
Top notch full English breakfast served every morning.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and this guesthouse goes above and beyond with its morning meal offering. Expect fresh fruit and juices, tea and coffee, a full English breakfast and vegetarian option.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Car parking facilities are far from convenient.
While there is a small space for off-street car parking, there is not enough when the guest house is at full capacity. Also the parking space is a little awkward to navigate thanks to the steep driveway.
negative:
A little far from the town centre and seafront.
In Torquay you can find a wide range of accommodation very close to the centre of town and the harbour, but The Cleveland is not one of them. That said, if you don’t mind a bit of a walk to find the action then you should be fine.
negative:
The single rooms here are a bit too small.
The single rooms here don’t leave you much space to stretch, and room four is one of the worst culprits. Cramped en-suite bathrooms are just one annoying feature of the single rooms.
