Positive Reviews
positive:
Cheap and cheerful.
Guests liked the modern rooms that were brightly decorated. Many felt that budget accommodation provided great value for money, with clean linens, a good bed, and a nice shower. Everything was found to be in working order, and guests would stay again for a comfortable and affordable night in Malacca.
positive:
Close to the action.
Many major sights were within walking distance of Sunshine Inn Malacca. While a little removed from bustling Jonker Street, guests found that they were easily able to walk to Mahkota Parade and Dataran Pahlawan shopping malls, and there were always the bikes available for rent when walking was too much.
positive:
Friendly staff.
Hotel personnel received top marks for hospitality from appreciative guests. Staff were found to not only be kind, but also efficient with check-in and requests.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Might be noisy.
Guests noticed that a few pubs were located behind this hotel. Music and late night activity sometimes kept guests awake, and rooms at the back were also subjected to parking lot noise from time to time.
negative:
Park at your own risk.
While guests liked the free price tag on parking, they didn't like that the lot wasn't secure. The open lot was also lacking in shade, and guests would often have to get into a boiling hot car.
negative:
A bit of a climb.
The basic Sunshine Inn Malacca doesn't have an elevator. Because of this, many guests recommended bringing comfortable shoes for carrying luggage, or better yet, asking for a room on the ground floor.
