Hotel Sandwich Lodge & Resort (Sandwich, USA)

Kind and helpful staff were a hotel highlight for many guests. While some staff members seemed to be a little too nonchalant when things went wrong, most were quick to remedy problems with a positive attitude.

In a quiet area, removed from some of the main hustle and bustle of Cape Cod, the Sandwich Resort and Lodge provided guests with a good base for sightseeing. Mini-golf and the Aqua Center for snorkeling and scuba diving are within easy access, as are other family-friendly activities like an amusement park, beaches and marina.

Guests felt they were given great value while staying at the lodge. Free breakfast, two swimming pools, laundry facilities and activities for the whole family made the price of rooms well worth it to many visitors. Combined with clean and comfortable accommodations, many guests said they would return for another Cape Cod adventure.

While the majority of guests appreciated the free continental breakfast, others felt it needed a bit of improvement. New to the light buffet are boiled eggs, oatmeal and yogurt, however some guests were missing hot items or hoped for more variety. A few guests found baked goods to be stale, and were in search of greener breakfast pastures.

If hearing your neighbors isn't your cup of tea, you might want to ask for an end or top floor room. Some guests weren't thrilled with thin walls that didn't provide much privacy, sometimes keeping them up at night. Rooms beside the laundry facilities might be extra loud.

Some guests were unhappy to find that their room was different from the hotel website description. Wanting a separate sitting area and finding a kitchenette instead could be disappointing to some.
