Unbeatable location
Most guest are impressed by the great location in the middle of the shopping and night life district. Most major attractions can be easily reached on foot. The canal right in front of the house adds to the unique atmosphere as do the old buildings the hotel occupies.
positive:

Negative Reviews
negative:
Canal rooms might be noisy
Depending when you are staying at the hotel, the rooms facing the canal might be louder than the rooms at the backside of the buildings, as there is a street between the canal and the hotel. If you enjoy a calmer location book a room facing the back.
negative:
The rooms can be on the small side
Some guests were not impressed by the charm of the historic buildings but felt that the rooms were rather small. They also might not have huge windows which might lead to a lack of daylight. Due to constraint in change to old buildings these characteristics are part of staying in 17th and 18th century houses.
negative:
Food is on the expensive side
Some guests felt that the breakfast or dinner is a bit expensive. As there are many restaurants right near the hotel there are plenty of options for all meals available.
