Hotel Leta is located in Fira on the island of Santorini, this family-run hotel is just 50 meters from the centre of town. The hotel offers twin, double and triple rooms all with a private balcony and direct access to the swimming pool. All rooms feature a refrigerator, TV and air-conditioning. Guests can relax on the sun loungers around the swimming pool or on the sun terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available in all public areas and free transportation is offered by the hotel. Guests can make use of the photocopying and car rental services. The hotel does not offer food, however, there are many restaurants and cafes less than 5 minutes away on foot. Guests can enjoy the traditional donkey ride down the 500 steps to the Old Port or walk 100 meters from the Hotel Leta to the edge of the caldera and take in the incredible Santorini sunsets.
It is very convenient that the hotel has a free shuttle service. They will fetch you from the airport and take you back to the hotel, the driver also points out the different monuments or restaurants that you should go to. At the end of your stay the shuttle can drop you off at the airport again.
You can walk to most of the tourist attraction because the hotel is right outside of the town centre. If you want to see other parts of Fira or the island you can take the bus because the bus station is a few minutes walk away. The location is also quite nice as it has views over the town and the Aegean Sea.
You will have a very relaxing stay because the rooms are beautiful and very bright. The beds are very comfortable and so you will get a good nights sleep and there is more than enough space for you to store your suitcases.
There is not enough hot water for a good shower and so this can really be an issue if you are more than one person. Some guests have reported that there was no hot water at all for showering and so this seems to be an issue for this hotel.
You will have to find nearby restaurant to have your breakfast at because this hotel does not offer a breakfast service. Coffee is available but the amount is quite limited and not as good as it is in a restaurant.
If you are a light sleeper you might need to bring earplugs wih you or request a quiet room when you are booking. The walls are quite thin and so you can hear people outside of your room talking and the sounds of the street outside.
