There are a couple of decent restaurants on the nearby pacific Highway.
The Long Beach area holds a surprising number of top attractions. Guests can visit the iconic Queen Mary, which is berthed just 3.8 miles from La Mirage Inn. The not to be missed Aquarium of the Pacific is 2.8 miles away and the beach about the same distance.

Rooms were quite spacious
A number of guests commented that the rooms were actually quite a lot bigger than they expected, and certainly bigger than other hotel rooms in the same category. They seemed to enjoy the luxury of all that extra space and were happy not to be hemmed in by the walls.

Guests who had booked one of the suites with in-room hot tub were clearly the happiest of all those reviewing the hotel. Some knew they were getting the hot tub and some were surprised, but all seemed to thoroughly enjoy using it.

Guests clearly enjoyed having these two amenities available, since it meant they could keep their cold drinks nice and cold and prepare a quick snack whenever the mood struck.

Severe cleanliness issues
Unfortunately, one of the first things recent guests brought up in their reviews was that they were very unhappy with the cleanliness of their rooms. The specific problems were far too numerous to list, but quite a few went so far as to describe their room as “filthy”, and did not seem comfortable staying there.

Very poor value for money
Pretty much all guests who brought up the question of value for money felt that they had received poor value. They reckoned that the hotel had numerous issues and so should be charging a rock bottom rate, but felt the rate was average or even above average.

Beds were a bit to firm
A bit too many guests for comfort complained that the beds were much too hard. Considering the number of complaints, it seems that the mattresses used may be quite a bit harder than most people like. Those who like soft mattresses should take note.
