Positive Reviews
positive:
Unbeatable beachfront position
This was by far what most impressed guests during their stay. They were not only impressed that the resort had an incredible beachfront position, but also that they had a private beach club on the sand that was said to be immaculately maintained.
positive:
Excellent leisure facilities
Guests were amazed by all the leisure facilities available, being especially impressed that the resort had a small nine-hole par-three golf course right on site. But of course they also enjoyed using the pool and tennis courts.
positive:
Superb food all round
Guests couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful the food was. It seems that no matter what venue was being referred to, guest felt that the food was delicious and appropriate for the serving environment. Guests had especially high praise for the Marine Room Restaurant, which for many was a very special treat that did not disappoint.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some tension between club members and guests
A number of guests mentioned that there could be at least a little tension between hotel guests and local club members. They felt as if some of the club members felt more entitled to use the facilities than the guests, which of course created some unpleasantness.
negative:
Décor looking a little shabby
Quite a number of guests mentioned that the rooms had clearly not been updated in some time. They felt that not only was the décor now out of fashion, but that the furniture and fittings looked a bit too worn for a luxury property.
negative:
Some cleanliness issues
Though not usually a big deal, quite a few guests did say that they found one or two small cleanliness issues when checking in. They felt that, considering the room rate and luxury nature of the resort, more attention should have been paid to the details.
