Hotel Kasbah Le Mirage & Spa (Marrakech, Morocco)

To get here, you'll have to drive through 15-minutes of exotic desert terrain. Although the hotel is a bit outside the Marrakech city centre, most guests found it enjoyable to be away from the hustle and bustle and appreciated the authentic Moroccan village experience. The hotel boasts a peaceful environment in a natural desert setting. You don't need a car though, since the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the city twice a day. You can also hitch a ride to the airport or the casino for a small fee.

There is plenty to do at this resort-like hotel. In addition to the large pool, the hammam, and the full-service spa, there are many activities both adults and kids, including camel rides, quad rides, archery, and various cultural classes. Most guests found themselves spending more time at the hotel than they planned.

Make sure to try out the onsite restaurant, which boasts authentic and delicious Moroccan cuisine. Guests were very impressed with the quality of the dishes and the great service.

The ground floor rooms are said to be dark, because they lack good natural lighting. If you're looking for something with an airier feel, ask for a room higher up. Guests also highly recommend asking for one with a view of the Atlas Mountains.

Although some may say it adds to the character, parts of the hotel could use mild maintenance and cosmetic updates. Various furnishings and fixtures throughout the hotel are showing some wear and tear.
