La Galiote en Re is a hotel of charm, built in 2005, and located at the heart of the harbor village of La Flotte (the village was ranked amongst “The Most Beautiful Villages of France”). The hotel is located just a few hundred meters walk from the port, shopping, the church, the medieval market and the Arnerault beach which this year was attributed a “Blue Flag”. The rooms, all of which have air conditioning, have a private bathroom with a bath or shower, a towel warming rail and a toilet. All rooms include a telephone/alarm clock, free DSL internet and free Wifi connections, a safe and a flat screen TV with French “Freeview” channels. Each room is decorated differently with an ocean theme and respecting the fashions of the homes of Ile de Re. The breakfast room is also decorated in the pure style of the island.
