About Hotel Forum
Elegance and style define Hotel Forum, an upscale hotel boasting a prime position opposite the entrance of the Pompeii archaeological site. The property provides an ideal base from which to explore Pompei's top tourist attractions.
The rooms and suites are spacious and modern, well soundproofed, and equipped with luxuries like king-size beds, minibars, and smart TVs. En-suite bathrooms feature extra-large showers for even more of a luxurious feel.
The hotel boasts a 24-hour front desk where luggage can be stored, complimentary self-parking, and access to a free Wi-Fi network. Working travellers will appreciate the conference facilities, as well as the plentiful supply of tea and coffee in the lobby.
There is a delightful snack bar where guests can enjoy light fare, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic drinks. An evening buffet also features, and the bar is open until late for drinks.
While the archaeological site is the big draw, those looking to explore will find Pompei Station only 700 metres from Hotel Forum.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Elegantly appointed rooms.
Rooms and suites at Hotel Forum are beautifully decorated in modern, contemporary colours which is further enhanced with modern, high quality furnishings and appointments. Larger suites offer plenty of space and the pillowtop beds, which are standard, are very comfortable. Rooms and en suite bathrooms are immaculately clean.
positive:
Owner-led service.
The hotel service is excellent and this is mainly due to the owners always being onsite to oversee day to day operations. Hotel staff are very friendly and approachable and display an excellent attitude towards providing quality service.
positive:
Beautiful, refurbished hotel.
Hotel Forum has recently undergone some major refurbishment to rooms and all open spaces throughout the hotel. Hotel décor is modern and up to date whilst still retaining an old-world charm in line with the city of Pompeii. All spaces are exceptionally clean from the pleasant lobby and front desk areas through to the charming open air dining areas.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Can be noisy.
The hotel is next to the main road that runs through the town and traffic noise can be very distracting and disruptive at night. This is more of a problem if windows are left open. The room walls are also quite thin and therefore noise from within the hotel can also be a bit disruptive.
negative:
Limited breakfast options.
Although breakfast is included, the continental buffet is quite limited as is the main restaurant menu. Fortunately there are plenty of local eateries nearby that are also well-priced if one gets bored with the menu.
negative:
Book rooms wisely.
Not all rooms offer the same amount of space in rooms as well as en suite bathroom facilities, some rooms also do not offer good views of the town, surrounding landscapes or excavation sites.
