Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent views towards Tangiers
While many guests had some issues with the location itself, the views from the property were widely enjoyed. They were said to be along the coast to Tangiers city centre, and were quite spectacular, especially on a clear day.
positive:
Very decent food all round
It was hard to find a bad word written about the food served
at the Farah Tanger. It didn't matter whether guests were reviewing breakfast,
lunch or dinner, since it seemed everything coming out of their kitchens was
delicious and well presented.
positive:
Beautiful and stylish decor
It is clear that the designers put in a decent amount of effort when designing the public spaces at the hotel. Guests seemed to have taken notice, and several commented that the décor throughout the hotel was very stylish and in keeping with its location.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Too far from Tangiers city centre
While the location, a bit on the outskirts of the city, did suit some, most seemed to feel it created too many problems. Aside from the inconvenience of having to travel the 3.5 miles into the city, if this was their destination, guests also mentioned that taxi drivers were reluctant to accept a fare to the hotel, unless a steep premium was agreed to.
negative:
No in-room tea or coffee making facilities
Several guests complained that there were no facilities to make tea or coffee in their rooms. While kettles and such were often supplied if they requested them, they felt the initial omission inexplicable, especially in North Africa.
negative:
Some rooms noisy
Though guests didn't really complain about noise from outside the hotel, or adjacent rooms, a few mentioned that the hotel has poorly placed air vents that make quite a racket close to where their room was.
