A generous breakfast buffet is served in a colourful dining room each day. Lunch and dinner options are available from the chic ‘1912’ restaurant & bar next door. Numerous cafes, restaurants, fast-food outlets and bars lie within an easy walk. The Dolomit is a ten-minute walk from Karlsplatz square and a 15-minute stroll from the legendary Oktoberfest site. The famed Hofbräuhaus drinking hall is just over a mile away.
The location is by far the best thing about this hotel as it is just a two-minute walk from the city's main train station and within very easy strolling distance of must-see sights like the Town Hall, Farmers Market, and English Garden. In addition, it is also surrounded by all manner of shops, eateries, bars and entertainment venues.
A great many visitors have highlighted the hotel's reception staff as being particularly worthy of praise. No matter what problem, query or question you may have, you'll find the attentive guys and gals at reception more than willing to deal with it. They seem to speak at least four or five languages between them too!
Numerous guests have been impressed by the recently refurbished ‘comfort' guest rooms here. Comfortable, well-appointed and very snazzily decorated; these accommodations are a definite step up from standard rooms.
The area this hotel is located in is a very active neighbourhood with a lively, 24-hour vibe. Unfortunately, this means that boisterous behaviour (i.e. screaming and shouting) and emergency service sirens are part and parcel of life here, so you can expect to hear all of these things and plenty more besides during the wee early hours.
There are some air-conditioning-type devices in some of the accommodations but it's fair to say they're largely ineffective at cooling the rooms down to a comfortable temperature. The worst thing is, you can't open a window because it will let in the noise from the streets below.
It's fair to say very few guests haven't been left disgruntled by the fact ths hotel charges patrons for Wi-Fi access.
