Its close proximity to shops, bars and local attractions also makes it ideal for guests who are seeking a central location. San Jaume Church and Alcudia Port are less than one mile away, and Albufera National Park is 10.7 miles from the hotel. Rooms have LCD and satellite TVs, climate control, blackout curtains, and private bathrooms with a bathtub. Plus, all rooms are equipped with kitchens that include a fridge and microwave. Built in 1987, Apartamentos Carlos V has 11 apartments situated over four floors, a rooftop terrace, lobby TV and bike rental. A self-serve laundry is also available. A buffet breakfast and dinner is served in the hotel restaurant. A bar, lounge, and coffee shop are also situated in the hotel complex so guests can enjoy lighter meals. The apartments are a short walk away from the beaches which many of the guests found very convenient. There is also a bus stop across the road for those who want to explore other parts of Alcudia and further afield. There are also many shops nearby as well as a market where guests can buy fresh fruit and vegetables.
Many of the guests complimented the cleanliness of the apartments stating that they were well maintained and provided a comfortable stay. There was ample space for storage and the apartments could easily accommodate a few guests without feeling cramped.
The on-site cafe was said to serve tasty breakfasts which were greatly appreciated by the majority of the guests. Apart from a good choice of food for breakfast, those who chose to have their lunch or evening meals there were also complimentary with regards to the quality of the food.
Guests criticised the lack of basic items available in the kitchens including the lack of an oven. Those who wanted to prepare meals were disappointed to find only few items of cutlery and no frying pans and many objected having to buy items such as washing up liquid and sponges.
Although the apartments have air conditioning units, many of the guests complained about how noisy they were when they were switched on and also that the units were dripping water onto the beds.
There is no reception area within the building and hence no reception staff to deal with the guests as they check-in or check-out of the property. Guests objected to the lack of reception staff as they were handed the keys by the staff at the on-site cafe.
