Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly and helpful staff
The All Star Lodge staff manning the 24-hour front desk are all very friendly and efficient at check in or check out. Other staff including housekeeping and maintenance staff are also friendly, accommodating and approachable.
positive:
Clean, basic accommodation
Rooms offer a basic sort of accommodation that is in line with most budget-type hotels or motels and is actually superior to most. While some may find the décor and color combinations to be somewhat dated, rooms are all exceptionally clean and fresh.
positive:
Comfortable beds, well-maintained bathrooms
Beds are very comfortable and offer a great rest experience that would suit most preferences. Every room is equipped with an en suite bathroom and these are well-maintained and very clean. Water pressure is very good and bathroom features all work well.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Minimal room amenities
A slight downside to All Star Lodge accommodation is the lack of a few items that other hotels would consider as standard. Items such as in-room refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers are good examples.
negative:
Inconsistent Wi-Fi service
As with many budget hotels, the free Wi-Fi service can be very inconsistent. This issue is far more noticeable in the evenings or any time of the night when most guests are using the service. The signal simply is not strong enough to cope with the demand that is placed on it, particularly when the hotel is full.
negative:
Unsafe, noisy parking
The hotel parking lot is unsafe and not well-lit, locals also create a rowdy atmosphere at all hours and often make guests feel unsafe. Light sleepers should also attempt to get rooms that are somewhat away from the parking lot.
