A Quinta (The Farm) with its local accommodation provides a delightful rural tourism experience. The country house is nestled in the Beirão village of Carnicães, municipality of Trancoso, district of Guarda, Portugal. In this county you will discover several architectural, civil, military and religious monuments. The town of Trancoso represents one of the most expressive historic centers in the country, visited annually by many thousands of people. You can access the Town Hall (Câmara Municipal) website to get information on the local landmarks such as the Historic Village, Historic Center, Jewish Heritage, Trekking Paths and Cultural Circuits. A Quinta is located right in the Route of the Historic Villages of Portugal and the Camino of Santiago Route - Via the Portuguese Eastern Route. It is about 30 minutes by car from the Alto Douro vineyard, the Archaeological Park of the Vale do Côa ( the river Côa Valley) and the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The property can accommodate 30 people and it consists of 15 rooms with a total of 30 beds (children’s beds can be added). All rooms have a private bathroom, storage furniture and internet. One of the rooms has all the required equipment for people with motor disabilities. Help-yourself-breakfast is provided. Further information will be given on request. As additional facilities, there is the reception area, bar, dining room, activity rooms for both adults and children. There is also a room designed to host meetings, seminars, company training courses and workshops. You can also enjoy a biological pool, gardens and spaces for social interaction, equipped with stove, grill and wood oven. An ample outdoor space allows you not only to enjoy every corner of the farm but also to participate in agricultural activities. You are given the possibility to experience hiking, cycling and carriage rides. A Quinta is a pleasant and quiet place in the hills, among olive trees, chestnut trees and other fruit trees. It is a perfect space for you to meet the local people and learn about their traditions. Moreover you will feel the taste of time in harmony with the rural and natural environment. A Quinta has a relaxed family atmosphere, where we are delighted to offer a warm and hearty welcome to visitors / tourists, treating them as friends and greeting them with a wide smile, all in a very informal way. A Quinta has all doors open at any time. It is definitely a place to relax, unwind, rest and enjoy nature, a beautiful one to come back to.
