Such a great location
The hotel is close to shopping and just across from English Bay and Granville Island, with easy access to the ferry. There are extensive walking trails along the waterfront and it's an easy walk to get downtown with numerous restaurants and bars.
positive:
It's a great space
The flexibility of the space provides for a lot of needs with choices in bedrooms. It's easily large enough to accommodate a family with storage rooms and dining areas. The full kitchen makes for convenience. Some units have glass-enclosed balconies with water views.
positive:
Well-equipped hotel
There is a gym onsite. The 24-hour front desk and security provides a sense of safety in a busy downtown location. There are also some concierge services offered.
Negative Reviews
negative:
It's not luxury
The beds are uncomfortable and no the sleeping arrangements of nicer hotels. There are daily fees for both parking and the use of Wi-Fi, which can add up if staying for an extended time. Also, air conditioning is not available in all the units.
negative:
Breakfast is not the greatest
The daily breakfast provided is extremely limited. There are basically choices of either a muffin or a Danish, and neither are very fresh. However, there are no other breakfast places within easy access.
negative:
A tired vibe
The hotel feels and looks like a set of refurbished condos that are just being used as a hotel. There is no real effort at ambiance or comfort for the guests and no other attempts to make the stay a pleasant one. Plus, it's fairly expensive when compared to hotel choices.
