About 9 Muses Santorini Resort
9 Muses Santorini Resort is in a lovely rural location, but still close to the beaches and tavernas that make Santorini what it is.
The rooms are comfortable, and offer air conditioning and lovely views, but most guests find they spend most of their waking hours enjoying the resort and the island.
The 9 Muses Santorini Resort features excellent leisure facilities, whether you want to laze by the pool or beach, or play table tennis or volleyball.
The in-house Therpsichore Restaurant is well regarded on Santorini, and offers local cuisine with a focus on fresh, and sometimes organic, meat, fish and produce. There is also a relaxing pool café and a lively bar.
Aside from the attractions of the resort itself, the island of Santorini beckons, with its dramatic picture postcard vista’s of the azure Aegean. The famous black sands of Perivolos Beach are a mere 300yards’ from the resort.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Limited number of children at the hotel.
There are no children's activities or clubs, like at many other resorts, so families with young children are thin on the ground. For adults who are seeking a quite peaceful break this greatly adds to the calm atmosphere.
positive:
Peaceful location
While the somewhat rural location is a shock to some, the majority love the peace and quiet, and especially the proximity to the amazing Perivolos Beach with its unique black sand.
positive:
Efficient, courteous staff
The vast majority comment that the staff at the resort are uniformly friendly and eager to help guests get the most out of their holiday.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast does not provide a good start to the day
Many guests have been disappointed with the breakfast. It starts early, and seems to deteriorate quickly as the morning progresses - so late risers encounter a spread which is somewhat less than appetising. The food too close to room temperature and all the best options long cleared out.
negative:
Only a hand-held shower in the bathrooms
The bathrooms seem to only have hand-held showers. Considering the overall standard of the resort guests find this mystifying, and would much rather be able to shower in a comfortable conventional shower.
negative:
Doesn't live up to its star rating
A very common comment is that the hotel is not bad; it just doesn't live up to its five star rating, especially when considering the finer details. As a result, many guests start their holiday somewhat disappointed. With a more reasonable rating they would start out in a much better frame of mind.
