The location is about five minutes by car or 30-40 minutes on foot to downtown Nerja, meaning that visitors will require a car or taxi ride to get into town quickly. The hotel is not ideally-situated for travellers who want to be within easy walking distance of local shops and restaurants.

Reviewers reported that the location can be tricky to find, sometimes even with a GPS. The hotel is also on a hill overlooking the sea, which requires a bit of an uphill hike when walking back to the building from the beach.
