The full English breakfast is very well cooked and delicious, with plenty of choice, and much appreciated. It is considered to be the kind of breakfast that fills the stomach and sets one up for the day.

The guests who stay here find this place full of old world charm and plenty of character. While some guests mentioned that the rooms look like they need updating, others are horrified at the very thought and say that the inn building is full of character and should retain it as far as possible.

It has been repeatedly mentioned that the staff here is professional, friendly and helpful, ready to help at all times and ready to go the extra mile to make the guests feel comfortable and at home.

It has been felt by some that the inn needs to smarten up a bit and get the shiny new look again. There are differing views on this. No one is saying that the inn shouldn’t be repainted and refitted from time to time, but at the same time the character or period feel is something that many of the guests love about this place.

It has been mentioned more than a few times that the beds here are not very comfortable and should perhaps be replaced.

Although there is free parking on site, it is quite inadequate for the size of the inn and guests have to park their vehicles in other car parks, which can be quite inconvenient.
