Positive Reviews
positive:
Great value for money
Many visitors love the half board rates, which includes the room and two meals every day, all at a very economical price, while the on-site coffee shop provides snacks and beverages for in between. Guests say the food is well presented and offered in quite huge portions.
positive:
No extra frills, just great accommodation
There are no luxuries at Castillo Sancho Panza, however guests say the rooms are cleaned every day, and bed linen is spotlessly crisp and clean. Rooms are basic, but everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. You can even relax in the separate living room, or work at the desk provided.
positive:
Quiet at night
This guest house is just far enough away from all of Cala'n Porter's local attractions to enjoy peaceful, quiet nights, but close enough for those who love an active night life to be able to go out and enjoy what the town has to offer.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Mattress a bit uncomfortable
There have been a few complaints about the state of the mattress at Castillo Sancho Panza, where some visitors found their mattress sagging down in the middle, and others had a lumpy base. The pillows were also a little soft and flimsy, so you could bring an extra pillow with.
negative:
You might be woken early
This is a relatively small guest house, and the staff do start preparing for the morning breakfast quite early. Guests have occasionally been woken by the shifting of chairs and tables downstairs, and the noise of crockery and cutlery being arranged.
negative:
Steep steps
There is no elevator at this little guest house, and you would need to climb a set of steep stairs to get to the upper level rooms. Some elderly guests did find it pretty awkward to get to their rooms, and requested to change to the ground level.
