About Westergate House
Westergate House is a traditional guesthouse off the A19 set on one acre of landscaped grounds, just outside of York.
Guest rooms boast classic decor, lots of natural light and garden views. Tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer and colour TV are standard.
This family-run B&B offers free on-site parking. Breakfast is included in your stay.
Westergate House serves breakfast only. For lunch and dinner, try White Swan Pub, which is a two-minute walk away. The Black Bull Pub is a short drive away and if you’re in the mood for Thai food, try the nearby Sang Thai.
The historic city of York, where you’ll find as plethora of shops, restaurants, museums and galleries, is a short drive away. York Racecourse, York University, Yorkshire Dales, MacArthur Glen Designer shopping outlet, and North Yorkshire Moors are all also close by.

If you like to travel with your favourite canine companion, you’ll be happy to know that pets are welcome at Grimston. Your dog will be happy too because there are so many great walks to be had in this area, including an enclosed garden on property.

Because this is a family-run B&B, the service is personal and all-encompassing. No request is too much for the warm, wonderful staff and they are happy to point you in the direction of local eateries and popular sites in the area.

Whether you’re just passing through or staying in the area for a few days, this is a great location. Just off the A19, it’s easy to access and there’s a Park and Ride close by where you can park your car and travel by bus into York for the day. Also, the

There’s no restaurant here.
Grimston serves breakfast only. Luckily, there’s a wonderful little pub a two-minute walk away where you can get lunch and dinner. In addition, York, where you’ll find dozens of great restaurants and bars, is just a ten-minute drive from the hotel.

There’s no Wi-Fi.
This B&B has no Wi-Fi available to the public. This can be problematic if you are travelling on business and need to get work done while you’re on the road, or if you just need to be in contact via email while travelling.

Things can get noisy.
Due to the close proximity of the A19, traffic noise can be bothersome, especially at night. This is something to take into consideration if you’re a light sleeper, as the noise is audible in all the guest rooms.
