The Lochside boasts a great location amongst the mountains, close to fantastic walks like the Cobbler, while the decking and patio area has a breathtaking view out over Loch Long.

You will find the staff to be warm, welcoming, and very helpful in offering suggestions on where to dine and local attractions, and also how to get there.

The Lochside’s guests were happy with being able to choose their breakfast option, with lots of variety, good-sized servings and a bar next door serving decent food and drink.

Those who stayed in the single rooms found them to be a bit small, with similarly sized showers, but they also proved to be manageable for a night or two.

A light sleeper who happens to be next to some loud guests may find the walls to be thinner than required, so bring some earplugs just in case if this sounds like you.

It goes without saying that the rooms facing the loch are preferable, but they are less likely to get traffic noise than those on the other side so are also good for the noise-sensitive.
